Even though the reviews were mainly positive for the Rockport Women's Ferne Double Gore Slip On, I am always worried about buying shoes online.

The main thing that attracted me to this shoe was that it was a wedge. At work they provide the best all day support for my feet. I also liked that they were leather and pretty basic, so that they could be worn with most anything.

When I received them I immediately tried them on, just in case I had to return them. Luckily there will be no returning of these shoes. I bought both the Black and Brown and they are a perfect fit. The sizing is right on for me, I ordered my usual size with no problems. I walked around half the night at home in them and my feet were very happy.

These are well made shoes that provide you comfort and little style at a unbelievable price. These are only my 2nd and 3rd pairs of Rockport, but I can already tell they won't be my last.

I don't understand the design of having small plastic pegs irritating your feet. They are very uncomfortable for the first few weeks of wearing them finally your feet become numb to the hundreds of small plastic pegs poking your feet. I have plantar fasciitis and I can wear these just about all day, so they are supportive enough without my orthotics. I don't think I could wear them every day all day, but I wore them throughout the summer just fine. They are narrow though, like you need thin feet, mine just fit and I have B/C feet. If you have thick feet forget it, the strap will be too tight. The bottom part is quite long like at the toe, for people with super long toes I guess.

I really like this shoe and the only fault I can find is that the strap is a little tight and I am hoping that will losen up after wearing them a few times. I do not have skinny feet and realize that does not help the issue!

The foot bed is very nice though and unlike many of this type shoe, there is nice traction on the bottom to prevent slipping and falls.

These were a bargain at around $15, but I am still on the fence. They are the right length but seem to be too "short" in the height... and I have very flat and narrow feet! Over time I think they will loosen up but they do put a lot of pressure across the instep right now. One thing I do notice is that the top of the sandal seems to sit pretty far back (towards the ankle) when compared to other thong/flip-flop style sandals. I will continue wearing them but I do think they'll take some time to break in to where I really like them!

*Updated 8/29* I still am not crazy about these. The foot bed is comfortable but the top is still too tight and unforgiving, despite wearing them every day for a week. I have noticed too that they are very squeaky. These might get demoted to being garden sandals, which I think would suit them well..

Overall, these are good shoes, and I am satisfied with them. These thongs look nice and are made with quality materials. They have a sturdy and comfortable sole, with a bit of arch support (not much, though, as this is hard to find in a flip-flop!). I like the heel cushioning; there's a little "give" when I step and the heels are thick enough that I don't feel like I'm walking barefoot, like with many thongs. I have had a problem with plantar fasciitis in the past, so heel support is important for me.

I do find the sizing to be a bit strange. I ordered an 8, which is what I always wear, but there is a full inch between the tips of my toes and the end of the shoes. This may sound strange, but these would probably look great on women with longer toes (than average). There was also extra room behind the heel, maybe 1/2 inch more than what I would have liked. So, I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size smaller than what you usually wear for a better fit.

I purchased two pair of the crocs Crete Flip Flops. I bought a pair a year and a half ago and have worn them every day that it is above freezing. I bought these new pair as replacements. To be honest, I heard crocs was have financial trouble, like so many others, and worried that they might close down and I would be left high and dry. I felt that the price I paid online through amazon was very fair. It was as cheap as anyone else on line and 15 dollars less than I paid a year and a half ago. I will say that I bought two more pair this weekend at a crocs outlet store for 25 and got a pair free, but that was a sale price, so I was in the right place at the right time. As much as I like my crocs, I do have to post a warning, the soles wear smooth in 5 or 6 months and when they get wet, they are dangerously slick on tile, wood, and linoleum floors. Other then that, I can't live without them.

The best part about this swim shoe is the zipper. I sprain my ankle about once a week, which causes swelling. I can half zip when this occurs. The clear rubber grips on the bottom are also nice. It has a sleek design, which makes it easy to swim with. They have a little cushion, which comes out when I take them off but it slides right in when I need to put them back on. I have had other swim shoes before, but this is the best pair ever.

This is my second Geox shoe (the first one was a loafer). I purchased the brown suede in EU 42 (which is equivalent to a US 11). The length is true to size, the width is a firm medium (ladies with slightly wider feet, as in my case, will be able to get away with this style). The color is as depicted on the website (with the piping being a vibrant, and yet suddle, gold). The upper and the lining are leather. The sole is rubber. The squared tip is great for those whose second toe is longer then the big toe.

The overall look of the shoe is feminine. Though nicely padded, the style is not bulky, while offering more protection from the ground then most ballet flats (which typically look feminine, but have extremely thin, and thus impractical, soles). The style is extremely vesatile. It could be worn in a casual as well as office setting thruthout all four seasons (depending on the climate, of course). The only small drawback might be the deeper cut on the side of the big toe joint. While it does not directly run accross the joint, it may still be aggravating to those with more severe bunions.

I recommend this style for its femininity, comfort and practicality. It will fast become a workhorse of your "shoedrobe"...

PS: The manufacturer promises a patented waterproof and breathable technology. Since I have not worn either style in the rain yet, I cannot speak to their waterproof qualities. The shoes do seem very breathable though (no sweating).

I purchased this shoes as well as a pair of Mizuno's wave alchemy 8 because I am an underpronator and I had tried Asics before, but I was getting blisters under the arch.

Therefore, this review lets me compare the Brooks face to face with mizunos.

First, the bads.

Just getting both pairs out of the box, you can see the difference in materials. Brooks are more stiff and not as soft as the other. I didnt like the fact that I need to run with socks to my ankle because if not, you get friction on the back side of the shoe. Also, both shoes were size 10 but the Brooks fit very tight, not as other shoes Ive had, so there is not much space for the foot. I guess in longer runs, that could be a problem.

Now, on the good side.

They did the job of giving me very good support, I have tried them on several 5-10k trails and they seem to be confortable, (but tight), they dont give me arch blisters and the best of all, my legs dont hurt at the end. So I think I will be using them for shorter runs and see how they behave over the weeks.

I am on my second pair of these shoes - both in black. The first pair wore really well, comfort wise. They never rubbed or pinched my feet. But after two months of wear, a strap popped lose from the "button" in the front. I didn't think anything of it and just glued it back together. Fine, but it happened to two other straps/buttons as well! I gave up and just bought another pair thinking that perhaps I just had a defective pair since there were such good reviews. Well the second pairs straps and buttons have stayed in tack, but I can barely stand to wear this pair due to them pinching my feet so badly where the straps cross over each other. It is so strange! They also created a HUGE blister on the back of an ankle - and maybe that was my fault for wearing them to go for a walk... but the first pair saw many miles without rubbing at all!? I wear a true size 9 and when I put these size 9 Tevas on, they were too short with my toes hitting the end with each step. Also if your feet are on the narrow side, the toe box area is really really wide. The material is high quality though and they were very soft. But now I know why they're such a good deal!

I am getting ready to go on a trip to Peru and was concerned about slipping, so I bought these to wear and began to break them in at work. I am an ER nurse and am on my feet for 12 hours at a time. Come to find out these shoes are extremely comfortable and I realized that I have found the perfect shoes to wear on my job. The funny thing is I am always looking for the most comfortable shoe for work and by chance found it looking for a shoe for another reason. And the price was astonishingly cheap compared to what I have paid for all my other shoes!!! Terrific buy for the price...terrific comfort for long time standing wear....now all that remains is to see whether or not it grips the side of a mountain in Peru!

I just received my Teva Mountain Scuffs but unfortunately will have to return them. Let me say though that the shoe itself is very comfortable. It feels true to size and width, almost a bit on the large side, and it also has enough room for the toes to wiggle.

The reason I will have to return is that the back part of the shoe uncomfortably rubs against my Achilles tendon. I didn't expect this when I ordered these shoes because they have a very soft and stretchy fabric all around the upper edges (see picture). However, the hard leather part of the shoe heel is too high for my particular foot shape and with every step rubs against the tendon regardless of the fabric. So if you are like me and occasionally have trouble with shoes that are too high in the back, you might want to consider a different style.

Another point I noticed but which would not have caused me to return them in itself is that the insole is non-removable and does not provide sufficient arch support (I have had issues with plantar fasciitis and learned to look for that). I would have to use these with my custom orthotics.

I would love to keep this shoe because everything else is great but the rubbing against the tendon is not something I could live with.

Been looking for a new set of decent-looking driving shoes without having to resort to a real set of racing boots. The eased, rolled edges of the Drift Cat II's soles is what caught my eye, though being a dyed-in-the-wool Porsche guy I could do without the silly Ferrari logo (and associated price impact for the product tie-in privilege, since I've subsequently found similar Puma only-branded driving-oriented shoes at the local Puma retail store significantly cheaper). Ordered the shoes based on the pictures alone; on the unboxing the relatively narrow footprint of this shoe gave immediate pause, something that I didn't pick up on with the pictures alone. Turned out that my left foot actually fit fine (comfortably snug), but my slightly wider right foot didn't go in nearly as comforting, the quickly narrowing front end providing quite a bit of pinching to my toes. For me definitely NOT a keeper.

Shoe does seem well made, and the actual materials seem to be of decent quality, though for the money it does seem a bit overpriced (as mentioned above likely due to the Ferrari tie-in; their Ducati shoes seem to have the same premium pricing effect as well). But the too-narrow profile for me means an instant return to Amazon. So much for buying online; next time I'll know better and go down to the shoe store and look before I pull out the charge card.

These are lightweight easy on/off, water resistant at least and really grip on rocks with a "Spider" sole for grip I guess. I do know they held like a spider on the giant rocks on a jetty at the beach which were wet; held tight at a nearly 45 degree angle. So they do as advertized in that dept anyway. I am not a rock climber-not close and that is just about as close a I will ever get. Dont even go to the mountains. I liked these so much , i got 2 pair. one black the other one 'charcoal' but looks closer to a brownish and has the orange trim. I have walked in the rain and stayed dry so dont know if they are waterproof or resistant but did function as around town walking shoes which are so light i hardly know they are on. They are rather comfortable but in an odd way. not as pillowy as the 4x as costly Merrills i have but still very easy...i can feel the soft rubber sole points through but it isnt like walking on rocks almost relaxing as it is soft and somewhat stimulating took getting used to. good all round casual convenient indoor/outdoor sale priced bargains.

I have bought these boot twice now and both times they came apart at the seams around the toes within 2 months of wear. We live in a mountain area that consists of some paved roads and some dirt. My son mostly wears them on walks or playing in the yard. He plays like any other 5 year old, but these shoes do not hold up. His friend also got a pair and they came apart in the same area. I love the design but will not purchase again do to the lack of durability.

I'd give 'em two stars 'cause my son liked 'em a lot and they were good while they lasted...which wasn't long enough. But I'm pretty peeved about the quality so they get one star.

With only occasional use they had completely disintegrated within a year. Rubber just cracked apart into a rotten mess. Totally unacceptable. Kids shoes should last to be hand-me-downs...especially if they aren't everyday shoes.

I'm guessing most of the glowing reviews come from folks who have happy kids after owning them for two weeks.

I have had this shoe for 1.5 years and the shoe is in great shape still. My only wish is that I got a color other than white as the white gets dirty quicker than a darker color. Well, it shows the dirt quicker.

The sole and top are still in good shape with no holes or significant wear marks. It still feels good on my feet.

And I am glad they were made in the USA. Its good to see good quality built in America. Not all New Balance shoes are made in the US. You can find out which ones on their web site.

I would buy these shoes again.

The only caveat I have is that I had hoped they would be both water & dry land shoes. I live in the city where kids play in sprinklers in the parks which still requires a shoe. I'm not a big fan of crocs and this seemed like a nice alternative And they did work this way, but the did not dry quickly by any means - in one case it took until the next day. Not what I had expected. Also, they are not always easy to put on - certainly my son could never have done it himself, and it was at times difficult for us adults. But once on, and when dry, it's a solid shoe for the summer and worked with socks when necessary as well.

We bought this for my daughter's trip with us to the galapagos. We thought it would be a great beach/water shoe. It was comfortable from what we could tell and you didn't have to worry about bumping her toes. The big problem was that things would get into the shoes (like with all sandals), however, with the design of the sandals, the pebbles/sand/ small twigs would not come out as with normal sandals or tevas. So we constantly had to stop for her and take off her shoes and remove things. She never had these issues with her tevas. We had another friend who bought these for her girls and had the same exact issues. They would be great for smooth surfaces.

These are the best pair of shoes I have ever bought. They are so comfortable. I wore them everywhere throughout Asia. Thank god I fit youth size, it's half the price of the adult shoes! I do like these shoes. It was a little weird at first and you should take it slowly, as suggested. Once you are used to them walking is low impact and you can feel your posture improving and your legs working harder. It is sort of jarring when you put on regular shoes.

I just love this sandals! It is a comfy sandal and it helps me get a great work out when I mall walk. I can feel it in my calves. At first I didn't feel it in my back and thighs but afterwards I did feel it. I hate tennis shoes because I feel that my feet can't breathe and I don 't like shoes with ties so I was excited that they came out with a sandal. The only thing that I don't like about these are the sizing. A 7 is not long enough but 7.5 is a little big and slips in the back when I walk but I wouldn't trade these shoes for anything else.

All I can say is that I loved these sandals (don't know why this particular pair is called a 'sneaker'). They are comfortable, cushiony and just plain great. I am grateful that I decided to wait before purchasing an expensive pair of MBT because I trust Skechers and am completely sold on their Shape Up series. My heel spurs are basically healed and I do not experience the pain I did in the past. Hope they come out with even more styles.

Several years ago, I moved into hotter inland climates which have prolonged intensely hot summers. My work requires formal business attire. Needless to say when I get home from work, or am off for the weekend, I wear my reefs with absolute pleasure. They are extremely comfortable and will contour to your foot, to provide nice stability, keeping your foot on, or rather in the surface on the flip-flop. The tread and traction is excellent as well. They are comfortable stylish and keep your feet cool during hot weather. Everytime I put them on, I know I will be relaxin, ahhhhh, how nice. Best flip flop on the market. Have tried others, but the simplicity of the Reefs reign supreme. As far as fit goes, if you are a half size such as 9.5, get a 10, they will fit perfectly.

On a side note, 6-7 years ago, Reef made a flip flop I liked even better, it had a twist to the design which I loved. Basically, instead of the nylon fabric which goes in between your toes, they had one with an extremely soft comfortable rubber which went in between your toes. It was slightly more comfortable than the nylon part, they employ in all their flip flops now, except for their all rubber ones. Another benefit of this rubber part was it kept the nylon strap elevated, so when you put your foot in, it went right in, you did not have to squiggle your toes to raise the nylon strap in order to slide your toes in and get the toes seated up against the nylon, or rather in this case the soft rubber. With this rubber part, you just put your foot in, and voila, you're off and relaxin, totally hassle free. This was not an all rubber piece that went from the toe strap and all the way to back of the flip flop forking and branching off to the rear of the flip flop where they attach to the deck rear deck of the flip flop on both sides in the rear; it was not a totally nylon-fabric free flip flop, in other words it was not all rubber like other flip flops by Reef and other manufacturers. It was a hybrid, with a rubber part that elevated the nylon straps, so you could just glide right in. It combined the best of both worlds with the convenience of the rubber part where you put your toes in, but after that nylon straps were attached to that rubber toe-piece and went back and attached to the rear deck of the flip flop. The nylon straps are more breathable than rubber and keep your feet nice and cool, while the rubber part that goes in between your toes, made them the ideal, best flip flop ever made. I hope someone from Reef comes across this review. Bring back the hybrid Reef, myself and others will buy them again and again. Also these flip flops are extremely durable. I wear the heck out of them; I mean I put serious mileage on them. I usually buy them every two years,

So I googled the shoe. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Amazon had the same shoe (I didn't know they carried shoes.) and at a lower price to boot!

i love the way this shoe looks but can never wear them for more than an hour or couple of hours at a time. the curve of the shoe (going from the big toe to the small toe) is a little abrupt so my third and fourth toe always get crushed and hurt after a while. also it runs a bit narrow so the half size bigger was more comfortable but would fall off the heel like slippers every time i'd take a step! its cute but painful and complicated!!! wish they could design it better.

Our entire family loves all our Crocs. Just a warning, especially for parents. Do not wear them and don't let your kids wear them on escalators!!! While in the Atlanta Airport, we had a terrible experience with our 3 year old little girl. We had just bought her a brand new pair of red mary jane crocs. She was standing on the escalator step beside me. My husband (on the step behind us) saw her foot get jerked in the side and he grabbed her up. The strap on the mary jane broke and the front of the shoe was all torn up. But, thankfully our little gal wasn't hurt. When we called the insurance company to get reimbursement for the shoes, the adjuster said he's paid for many many lost toes! Apparently the big problem is the material the crocs are made of gets caught easily on the side of the escalator step. I thought I was being safe keeping her beside me on the step. Also, untied sneakers are a big risk- they get caught up in the escalator and the laces just get tighter. Meanwhile, we love crocs. Just about all I wear. I have arthritis and can walk all day in Crocs without pain. I especially love the Mary Janes for me and my daugters. Comfortable but cute. I like the styles with holes for ventilation. I got a pair of new Olivia style and they are so cute but my feet get so hot. Just keep all of them off escalators!!!

This are great summer shoes. I got them for my 1 yr old little girl and they are perfect for when she is playing outside and gets sand or water on her feet. The shoes are great. My complaint is the myriad of sizing options and discrepancies. I bought a 2/4 which is supposed to be a kid's size 2 (or women's 4). My daughter wears a 1.5 so I thought a 2/4 sounded right. Well, it was huge : more like a kid's 3 or even 4. We did not return them because she can grow into them in 2 yrs but we had to order a second, smaller pair, a 1/3. The opposite happened with my son's caymans. He had outgrown his previous size 12/13 so I ordered him the next size up which is a 1/3. It came in at exactly the same size as his old pair: too small. So I compared the maryjane's size 1/3 to the cayman size 1/3 and the maryjane is clearly bigger, about 1/2 to 1 size bigger. Both of these are new pairs ordered directly from Crocs.

I used to wear Wallabees in HS and college back in the 1970's. Now that they are available again I decided to see how the new "Clarks Originals" compare to my distant memories.

Bottom line...they are fantastic and every bit as good as I remember them. Extremely comfortable! So comfortable that I avoid wearing any of my other shoes unless I have to. The brown suede is nice because it doesn't show dirt as much as the original sand color used to.

Be aware that they do run slightly larger than normal.

So they haven't become my "can't wait to take off my work shoes and slip into my massage slides" pair--yet. They fit fine, look fine, and I'm sure will be fine down the road, but I'm guessing the manufacturer could've made the nubs a bit less hard and stiff to start.

This is my second pair of Adidas Santiossage sandals. They have helped a lot with plantars fascila. (heel & foot pain). I wear them only indoors, and for 30 to 60 minutes a day. I lost a few nubs but after 2 years of wear. They wash well with soap water and a brush. Not intended to be a comfort shoe, but good for getting circulation to your feet.

Overall, not a bad product, but you do get what you pay for. The shoe itself is made in China, so it has that characteristic smell...think walking into a Payless shoe store. I'm not sure what it is, but they use some particular type of glue or rubber that just doesn't have a very pleasing smell. My particular shoe already had threads in the stitching coming loose. On top of that, they run about a half size too small for me, so be aware if you are at the top end of your size range.

That being said, not a bad shoe for $40 shipped.

I bought this shoe blindly, as I didn't even try on at the store or anywhere. I just knew it was Best Update 2008 from Runners World and it's cheaper than most other shoes around, so I bought it as my second shoe to rotate out.

I've been running with it few times now and I run about 2 miles plus, and really have no complain about this shoe. If I had to say one thing, it would be the lip doesn't come all the way up to the ankle. Doesn't really bother me, but it's something to think about.

This shoe is very sharp and classy looking on and off the foot.

They do not wear well with hosiery because your feet slide even with pads inside the shoes.

My suggestion is if you are going to wear them leave off the hose.

Otherwise it is a nice comfortable shoe that goes well with many colors.

I just got these shoes in lt. brown lizard look. Wore them to Mass and have had them on for 4 1/2 hours. No blisters, completely comfortable, easy to walk and balance in. They are great. I am ordering the black leather pair from Amazon right now. I have them in a half size smaller than normal but I always buy sandals in smaller size. Love em. Oh, and they are good for praying in. LOL

These are nice good quality insoles, but I don't see them doing anything else for me at this time, maybe this will change over a few more months of wear or something but as of right now all I have is new insoles. Felt nothing like "a burn" etc on my legs or anywhere else. Not saying they are not a good product, just not worth the price for a set of insoles for your shoes.

I have worn Dansko clogs for years. I decided to try these beautiful brown tooled clog in my usual size (38), however, they look fantastic but there are two problems; 1. The right foot is easily one size bigger than the left, yet states 38. 2. The inside of the right shoe has part of the staple poking out which also makes them impossible to wear. The hassle of boxing back up, taking time off work to stand in line at the post office is a pain! Really ticks me off because I needed a new brown clog and wanted these to work. They are the first Dansko that is not made well and the size difference is a joke.

I've sworn by Rockports since I bought a pair on clearance 5 years ago. I wore those to the ground and still miss them on occasion. Now on to the new ones I just purchased...I bought two pairs of these, one in each color. My shoe sizes range from 9-11 depending on types of shoes and brands...for example I wear a size 11 in my Aasics running shoes (1/2 size bigger than a nice tight fit) and 10.5 in my everyday Aasics sneakers. So either way I bought these in 9.5 W and they are a little big in every way (length and width) which is fine by me because I can always wear thicker socks...plus I HATE having to "break" shoes in.

The material is very nice and the shoes look really slick...like others mention above I think these will work with suits as well as casually. The material also doesn't show markings with slight scratches/scuffs which a lot of cheaper shoes tend to have these days (Skechers more specifically). The brown is a bit darker than it seems on the site, which I actually like a lot more. They are light weight and very comfortable, which is what I have always come to expect from Rockport...compared the Capitol series they make which are a LOT heavier than I expect from Rockport.

For those that complain about the size being off...I've NEVER found universality in shoe sizes between different brands/types...you could just order the same shoe from [...] (an Amazon sister company who offers FREE overnight shipping and FREE returns) to check out the size and then order off Amazon for the cheaper price, which is exactly what I did.

I wear a 9 wide. I already own Rockfords and made the stupid assumption that these would follow the same mold. This felt like a narrow. A big disappointment especially when Amazon is charging me for the return label. The manufacturer or seller should be the one charged for selling a sub-standard product. If you have a wide foot, DON'T buy these.

This stuff really works. My father in law gave my husband some a couple of years ago. I was looking to buy some more but couldn't find it anywhere. (They use to sell it at walmart)It works great for repairing the sole on shoes. It also works on other things too. I used it to fix a crack in some plastic. It dries clear and somewhat hard. We have used it on rubber bottomed shoes and on hard bottomed shoes like boots. Works fine on either on.

I used this on a split seam on an air mattress. The mattress was flocked so I attempted to shave off the flocking for better adhesion and ended up with not only a split seam, but a hole! This product fixed it and it has been blown up and used at least 5 times and it is still holding!

This is the first Saucony sneaker I've ever purchased.

Always used to NB or Asics (my favorite).

I am quite pleased with Saucony.

I am not a heavy runner and I ware this sneaker daily for walking and to gym.

As a nurse, I work long hours on my feet. I've been a fan of Dansko shoes for years now. These are the only shoes I can wear without my knees bothering me after being on my feet for a long time. If you've never worn Dansko shoes before, I should warn you that they do have a hard sole that takes some getting used to. But after you make it through the breaking in period, they're amazing!!! They also last a long time (last pair I wore for at least 2 years) so they're more than worth the money. I just loved these particular shoes because of the fun patent leather look. I've received so many compliments on them. I work with kids and they love my "shiny shoes".

Awesome shoe real comfortable to wear I use them to DH Mt Bike and i get awesome grip with them, the only downside is the back of the shoe is pretty stiff so if you wear ankle socks it will rub against skin and cause a rash but I just got them so I am sure they will soften up through time, definitely a good buy though.
